Considering the main Economic Blocks, the imports from Rio Grande do Sul in 2017 come from the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), with 32.7%, followed by Asia (excluding the Middle East), with 16.7%, the European Union with 15% and Africa with 14.4%.
The highlight among the countries of origin was Argentina, with 20.6% of the total, followed by China with 10.8%. The United States and Algeria appear in sequence with, respectively, 10.4% and 9.4%. Russia and Mexico reached 3.9%, Germany 3.8%, and Spain 3.3%. The other countries individually reached percentages lower than 3% of total imports from Rio Grande do Sul.
