The regional distribution of the Gross Value Added (GVA) in Rio Grande do Sul in 2015 shows a spatial concentration in the COREDEs – Conselhos Regionais de Desenvolvimento (Regional Councils of Development) Metropolitano Delta do Jacuí, Vale do Rio dos Sinos and Serra. COREDE Metropolitano Delta do Jacuí has the highest participation, mainly due to the influence of the municipality of Porto Alegre that contributes with 17.5% of the state GVA.
